2026 California Winter League Playoffs Begin This Friday at Historic Palm Springs Stadium
Palm Springs, Calif. - The 2026 California Winter League postseason officially begins this Friday, February 13th, as eight teams move from the regular season into a high-stakes battle for the league title. This year’s playoffs feature a revised format, with the field split into two distinct divisions: the American Division and the Canadian Division. The action kicks off with a four-game quarterfinal round on Friday, followed by the semifinals on Saturday, and culminates in the Championship Game on Sunday, February 15th.
The quarterfinal round on Friday features a packed schedule of high-stakes baseball across two venues. Action at the main stadium begins at 10:00 AM with the American Division’s top seed, the Washington Blue Sox, taking on the fourth-seeded Palm Springs Chill. This will be followed at 12:30 PM by a Canadian Division clash between the number-one seed Manitoba North Stars and the fourth-seeded Canada A’s. Simultaneously, the auxiliary field will host the division’s second and third seeds, starting with a 9:00 AM matchup between the Palm Springs Power and the Oregon Lumberjacks. The morning slate concludes on the turf at 11:30 AM as the Alberta Grizzly and British Columbia Bombers square off for a spot in the next round. The victors from these four games will advance to Saturday's semifinals at the main stadium, with start times scheduled for 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
The quest for the trophy reaches its peak on Sunday, February 15th, with the 2026 CWL Championship Game. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM at Palm Springs Stadium, where the final two teams will compete for this year's CWL crown. Throughout the weekend, fans can still take advantage of the league's most popular promotions. Friday is designated as Canada Day, offering $5 general admission tickets for all Canadian residents, while Saturday features the fan-favorite $3 Beer Saturday, with Bud Light and Budweiser drafts available for just $3.
