Augustine Casino’s Seven Feathers Gallery Showcases Art from Toro Canyon Middle School Students

COACHELLA, CA – March 16, 2026 – Augustine Casino is proud to announce the latest exhibition at Seven Feathers Gallery, featuring a vibrant collection of works by 8th-grade art students from Toro Canyon Middle School in Thermal. The exhibition, titled “Mi Gente, Mi Tierra” (My People, My Land), is now open to the public and offers a profound look at the Coachella Valley through the eyes of its youngest residents.
The students were challenged to explore the deep-rooted connections between their heritage and the desert they call home. The resulting collection is a visual celebration of the East Valley’s unique identity, focusing on two central pillars:

  • Culture: Family traditions, local festivals, and the stories passed down through generations.
  • Land: The rugged beauty of the desert landscape and the agricultural heartbeat of the region, from date palms and grapevines to the relationship between the people and the land they work.
“We are incredibly moved by the talent and perspective these students have brought to Seven Feathers,” said Lindsay Grant, chief marketing officer at Augustine Casino. “The East Valley is a community built on hard work and rich traditions. Seeing these students honor the East Valley so beautifully reminds us why we created this gallery; to provide a platform for the authentic voices of the Coachella Valley.”
The exhibition marks a special moment for the Seven Feathers Gallery, which typically features established local professionals. By inviting students from Toro Canyon Middle School, the restaurant continues its mission of being a community-focused space where dining meets local culture.
Guests are invited to view the student exhibition while enjoying the full-service menu at Seven Feathers, which features fresh, made-to-order dishes and the casino’s signature hospitality.
