Community Partners Unite for Celebrate Community Cleanup Day in Desert Hot Springs on National CleanUp Day
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. — September 2026 — The Kiwanis Club of Palm Springs, New Earth Creator, BGB Environmental Services, and Friends of the Desert Mountains invite residents and community volunteers to participate in Clean Our Watershed — Celebrate Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Mission Creek area of Desert Hot Springs.
Held in recognition of National CleanUp Day, the collaborative effort will bring volunteers and community organizations together to remove illegally dumped trash and debris, reduce pollution, and help protect one of the Coachella Valley’s environmentally sensitive desert landscapes.

The cleanup reflects a shared commitment to protecting the headwaters that sustain our desert, preserving wildlife habitat, reducing illegal dumping, and encouraging environmental stewardship throughout the Coachella Valley.
The event is supported by participating community and regional partners, including the Coachella Valley Conservation Commission, Love Your Neighborhood, a pollution-prevention initiative administered by the Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG), Mission Springs Water District, Quick Quack Car Wash, and other participating agencies and organizations.
Volunteers are encouraged to join this community-wide effort and help make a measurable difference for the desert environment.
