Rancho Mirage, CA (March 24, 2025) Eisenhower Health is proud to announce it has earned its third consecutive Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) — a prestigious recognition of excellence in nursing and outstanding patient care.
Magnet designation is considered the highest national honor for professional nursing practice, awarded to less than 10% of hospitals in the United States. Eisenhower Health first achieved Magnet recognition in 2015, and this third consecutive designation underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety, innovation, and nursing leadership.
“Achieving a third Magnet designation is a remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of the extraordinary care, compassion, and professionalism of our nursing team,” says Martin Massiello, President and Chief Executive Officer, Eisenhower Health. “We are incredibly proud of our nurses, whose dedication to excellence continues to positively impact the lives of our patients and their families every day.”
The rigorous Magnet review process includes an extensive written application, site visit, and evaluation of outcomes related to patient care, nurse engagement, interprofessional collaboration, and nursing innovation.
“This recognition is a testament not only to the exceptional skills of our nurses but also to the strong culture of teamwork, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement that defines our organization,” says Ben Farber, DNP, RN, CNL, NEA-BC, CENP, Vice President, Patient Care, and Chief Nursing Officer, Eisenhower Health. “It’s a proud moment for our entire nursing team and our broader health care community.”
Research shows that hospitals with Magnet status consistently demonstrate better patient outcomes, higher patient satisfaction, and increased nurse retention and engagement. Eisenhower Health remains steadfast in delivering exceptional care and advancing nursing practice across the Coachella Valley and beyond.
