Palm Springs, Calif., (May 5, 2026) – Palm Canyon Theatre invites audiences to step into the spotlight for a magical, interactive sing-along screening of Wicked on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 7 p.m. This lively event welcomes movie lovers and musical theatre fans alike to experience the beloved story of the Witches of Oz in a fun, festive, and fully participatory theatre setting.
Featuring the hit musical Wicked, the evening encourages guests to sing along to show-stopping favorites like “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” and more as Elphaba and Glinda’s untold story unfolds on the big screen. With on-screen lyrics and a spirited audience atmosphere, this special screening transforms the film into a shared celebration of music, storytelling, and community.
Released as a cultural phenomenon, Wicked reimagines the Land of Oz through the unlikely friendship of Elphaba, the misunderstood future Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, the sparkling Good Witch of the North. With its powerful score and emotional storytelling, the sing-along format invites audiences to laugh, sing, and fully engage with the journey from Shiz University to the Emerald City.
Sing-Along events are part of an ongoing interactive series at Palm Canyon Theatre. Additional sing-along titles and dates will be announced throughout the season, and audiences are encouraged to watch for future opportunities to join in the fun.

About Palm Canyon Theatre:
Palm Canyon Theatre is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the education of live stage production and the enrichment of the greater Palm Springs community and its visitors. The regional repertory theatre company operates primarily with volunteers and produces about 13 Broadway musicals and classic plays each year, plus offers a children’s theatre summer camp and production. The theatre first opened its doors in 1997 when Dr. William “Bill” Layne and his family renovated the historic Frances S. Stevens School building, located at the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Alejo Road in Palm Springs, Calif.
