Parkinson’s Resource Organization to Attend World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix

Parkinson’s Resource Organization to Attend World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix

Local nonprofit to represent Coachella Valley Parkinson’s community at one of the world’s leading Parkinson’s gatherings

Palm Desert, CA, May 19, 2026 – Parkinson’s Resource Organization (PRO) will join more than 4,000 delegates from over 70 countries at the World Parkinson Congress, one of the largest and most influential Parkinson’s events in the world, in Arizona next week.
Held every three years, the World Parkinson Congress brings together thousands of researchers, neurologists, healthcare professionals, advocates, care partners, and people living with Parkinson’s from around the globe to share the latest developments in Parkinson’s research, treatment, advocacy, and quality-of-life care.
PRO Executive Director Eileen Lynch said the organization views attendance as an important opportunity to advocate for and learn on behalf of the local Parkinson’s community.
“Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurodegenerative condition in the world, and staying connected to the global conversation matters – especially considering Southern California has a higher concentration of Parkinson’s than other parts of the U.S.” said Lynch. “We’re honored to represent our community at an event of this scale and to bring back practical resources, emerging research, and meaningful insights that can directly benefit people living with Parkinson’s and caregivers here at home.”
Throughout the Congress, which runs May 24 - 27, PRO plans to share highlights, research updates, educational insights, and behind-the-scenes moments on social media channels, while also gathering questions and topic suggestions from constituents ahead of the event. Community members are encouraged to follow PRO online and share the Parkinson’s-related topics they would like the organization to explore while attending the Congress.
