SHOW YOUR HEART: Rancho Mirage Chamber Invites Community to Connect, Give Back and Discover More Than 50 Local Nonprofits
Free community event set for Wednesday, September 23 at the Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce is inviting the entire Coachella Valley community to come together, connect with local nonprofit organizations and, quite simply, Show Your Heart.
The Show Your Heart Mixer will take place Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory. Admission is free, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory.
More than 50 nonprofit organizations will be on hand, giving attendees an opportunity to discover the incredible work happening throughout our community—and find meaningful ways to get involved. Note: booth spaces are fully committed by RMCC Members.
“After the pandemic, I kept hearing from our local nonprofits about how much they needed support, visibility and connection,” said Katie Slimko-Tuvell, IOM, President & CEO of the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce. “That’s why we created Show Your Heart. But this event has grown into something much bigger. It’s a chance for our entire community to discover the organizations that are serving our neighbors every single day—and to find your own way to be part of that work.”
That involvement can look different for everyone.
A business might choose to sponsor a nonprofit, serve on its board or a committee, organize a volunteer day with its employees or become a long-term community partner. An individual might discover an organization that speaks to their heart and decide to volunteer, donate or simply learn more.
And sometimes, the most important reason to attend is much more personal.
The nonprofits participating in Show Your Heart provide services, resources and support that touch the lives of our residents, employees, families, friends and neighbors every day. Whether you are looking for help for someone you love, searching for a way to give back or simply want to better understand the organizations working behind the scenes to make our community stronger, this is a place to start.
“Behind every nonprofit is a team of people who cares deeply about our community,” Slimko-Tuvell said. “When I talk with nonprofit leaders, I’m hearing stories of difficult decisions, including organizations worrying about how they will make payroll. These are organizations we cannot take for granted.”
Show Your Heart is a call to action. Come ready to give back. Are you in?
Come meet the people doing the work. Learn about the causes they champion. Discover the services available to you and the people you love. Find an organization you want to support. And maybe walk away with a new place to give your time, talent, treasure—or all three.
“We don’t want to lose a single nonprofit organization that is making a difference in our community,” Slimko-Tuvell said. “Every organization has a story. Every organization has a need. And every one of us has something we can give. Please come out, connect and Show Your Heart. It could be a game changer for our entire community.”
