Trauma Intervention Programs Seeks Coachella Valley Volunteers for Upcoming Training Academy
Palm Desert, CA — Trauma Intervention Programs of Riverside County (TIP) is calling on Coachella Valley residents to step forward and serve their community by joining its upcoming Training Academy beginning May 14.
The need for trained volunteers in the Coachella Valley continues to grow as TIP responds to hundreds of crisis calls each year alongside first responders. In 2025 alone, TIP of Riverside County responded to 755 calls and served more than 2,655 individuals across the region.
When tragedy strikes, first responders call TIP volunteers to provide immediate emotional and practical support to survivors. These trained volunteers stand beside law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and hospital staff, offering comfort, resources, and a steady presence during some of life’s most difficult moments.
“TIP volunteers are the person who shows up on someone’s worst day,” said Powell. “We are seeing a growing need in the Coachella Valley and are looking for compassionate people who are willing to step in and make a difference when it matters most.”
